Pintxo, anyone?
A picture is worth, well...
At the start of our journey of a thousand steps. Or at least a long airline trip.
A wet and shiny Bilbao (in the old section)
As we stumble upon the start of a Palm Sunday processional for Semana Santa.
As you can see, it's an odd mix of really old religious customs and some, um, newer technological additons. (I couldn't get a good picture, but there was a woman with inch and a half, hot pink nails... WWJD with those?)
To show not only the religious fervor that is a part of Holy Week celebrations, but also that it was sunny, if only for a few minutes.
And, just so you don't think that we're spending all our time (though admittedly a lot of it) chasing KKK-looking religious cofradÃas through the city in the rain, check out our welcome sign at the Instituto!
And, in case you're concerned that Steve isn't getting a chance to take lots of his own pictures to share with you soon...
Hasta pronto, amigos!
