Just up one more little hill... And then a little one after that.

And then just one more.

(This place is better than 24 Hour Fitness! It has sheep!)

Yesterday, Dad and I headed out to explore the town of Plentzia, out at the far ends of the Bilbao train system. (Have we mentioned that Bilbao public transit is just about the coolest thing ever?)

Plentzia is out on the...OCEAN.

Yup. Real sand, real waves, really fishy smells and views that go on for ever...

After Plentzia, we decided to go for what was supposed to be an "easy walk" from one of the Metro stops down to the water in a town called Getxo. About an hour later--and some cardio burn that would make any trainer proud--we found our way over the giant hills in the middle of Getxo and down to the waters edge.

A beautiful harbor and, in the far distance, you can see the Puente Colgante, the world's oldest transporter bridge.

But, perhaps you need a closer view of this technological feat from 1893.

And did we mention that you can even go all the way to the top and take pictures (while simultaneously picturing your own fall from waaaaay up high...)?

And, to end a very long day with so much fresh air and sunshine... Our new favorite restaurante: Fük. Yes, Fük. You gotta a problem with that? Take it up with the Spaniards with the twisted sense of linguistic humor.

At long last, after a fükliscious dinner, we headed home, caught up on the BBC World headlines (only English-langage station around here) and got some sleep before starting out on today's adventure which, 'cuz we're sleepy, we'll tell you about tomorrow!

Hoppy Easter!
